Our Efcut C40 was easy to assemble and has worked flawlessly through several full days of chipping. We're very happy with our purchase.
After 3 hour working the nice still good
DO NOT PURCHASE!!!
A piece of junk! does not work at all. I have run it a total of about 15 min and the blades were rounded over. Sharpened them and got 1 literal twig maybe 1" and blades were dull again. I have a return started with seller (conveniently couldn't review there Walmart.com) For the price would expect better. I will just burn as usual and buy mulch when needed.
Even assembly was an issue as pictured holes in base were off an inch, had to drill to work. should've known that when step 1 is a disaster the rest will be as well. Think long and hard about purchasing this chipper. better off buying mulch at plant nursery than to deal with this. Now I have to do a return...thing is heavy have no idea how to get in in and out of truck to return...
Bad experience all around and would avoid this EFcut 40 Maybe If you need to chip up balsa wood, maybe this is the chipper for you.
I only ran it for the first time today. It started easily and chipped well. Likely will keep limb sizes to 3"and under.
Ask me again in a month. Will order replacement blades.
Worked great for 2 hours. Then blades were dull. Removing blades requires entire disassembly. Cannot be done through viewing window.

Causes of Severe Wood Chipper Blade Wear:
Chipping hardwood (such as oak or maple) or very dry/hard wood.
Wood mixed with sand, soil, wire, or nails.
Forcing wood into the chipper or repeated jamming.
Blade gap with the side plate is too large or too small.
Blade installed incorrectly.
Long-time chipping of wet wood or oversized branches causes overheating.
